Introducing the Editor of North Lakes Now!

I would like to introduce myself. I am Josh Hood, Publisher and Editor. I am a local to the North Lakes / Mango Hill area since moving here with my family six years ago from Sydney, where I grew up. A Queenslander at heart (go the Mighty Maroons!), I have previously resided in Cairns for six years which I feel in total, gives me Queenslander status! After moving here in 2011, I established what is now known as North Lakes Web Design. Since then we have built and now have over sixty business websites under management, mostly businesses in the local area. Dissatisfied with available marketing options for my clients, and driven by a passion for community, I established Big Local in 2014. Three years later, we have five community websites for major Moreton Bay suburbs and a following of over 20,000 on various social media platforms. In my spare time, I contribute to the community as an active member of the Mango Hill Progress Association and Kallangur Business Association. North Lakes Now Magazine is an obvious extension of our marketing business and a very exciting addition for Big Local. This new monthly is a take home publication which can be picked up at most businesses in our distribution areas North Lakes, Mango Hill and Rothwell. I sincerely hope you all enjoy reading what we have enjoyed putting together.
