Rothwell Intersection enters it’s final stage of being a roundabout!

Rothwell roundabout is one step closer to becoming a safer, easier to use signalised intersection.
In the meantime, it is still a roundabout which has been gradually modified to allow for continued access during the upgrade.
This stage is temporary and a necessity for the functionality of the intersection during the construction process.
Please note that the speed limit is 40 kilometres an hour due to the roadworks and take care, remembering to shoulder check your blind spot before merging!
Concerns have been raised by locals regarding the difficulty in merging from Deception Bay to Redcliffe. Chris Whiting MP, who also travels on the roundabout daily, has raised this issue with the Project Team from the Department of Transport.
