Wray Organic North Lakes are committed to offering Australian grown ‘fresh’ fruit and vegetables at the best possible price for organic produce.
Wray Organic Market and Cafe is an organic fruit and vegetable market with seated cafe, serving delicious organic meals, desserts, coffee and fresh extracted fruit and vegetable juices.
Wray Organic offer a one stop organic fruit and vegetable alternative for people concerned about the level and type of pesticides used in mass farmed fruits and vegetables.
The Organic Choice
You have a choice in North Lakes for a diet of entirely organic fresh produce. Alternatively, you might choose a sub-set of your usual fruit and vegetable diet, where you buy organic because the regularly farmed produce is subject to levels or types of chemicals that you are not comfortable with.
All products sold by Wray Organic are from Certified Organic suppliers but the team at Wray Organic also regularly review products, considering every ingredient and whether or not it has has been grown / cultivated / manufactured to ethical standards.
Wray Organic Coffee Shop
Looking for a good coffee in North Lakes? The coffee served at the Wray Organic Coffee Shop is 100% Certified Organic coffee. Come in and enjoy a cuppa.
Fresh organic salads, sandwiches and hot meals are all available at the Wray Organic Cafe.
To quote a customer – ‘As a nutritionist I travel all over Australia with my work and nowhere offers the quality of organic produce that is available every day at a Wray Organic store.’
The Dirty Dozen
The following list of 12 fruits and vegetables have been named by US Environmental Organisation, The Environmental Working Group, established in 1993, as “The Dirty Dozen” for 2019.
These fruits and vegetables have been deemed by The Environmental Working Group as subject to or retaining relatively more chemicals than other fruits and vegetables. This is a US Organisation but it is widely known that there are chemicals banned in other countries that are commonly used in Australia.
Almost all mass commercially produced fruits and vegetables are subject to chemical treatment for pests and disease and this list outlines some of the most affected. For the full list of 48 fruits and vegetables with pesticide residue data please visit The Environmental Working Group website.
