Local producer of award-winning beer, White Brick Brewing celebrated its first birthday on 30 November and what a year it’s been!

Just six months into production, the brewery won three medals at the Australian International Beer Awards followed shortly after with four medals at the Independent  Beer Awards.

According to owner/brewer Adam Gibb, “To win these medals so early after start-up confirmed that our commitment to high quality beer was achievable.”

Over the past 12 months, White Brick beers have developed a loyal local following. The regular range, all named with a nod to local areas and identities supports the ‘Drink Local, Support local’ theme. The Moreton Bay Festival Beer brewed for the inaugural Moreton Bay Food and Wine Festival was a great hit.

The highlights over the past year have been Omrah Lager brewed with native berries to commemorate ANZAC Day, the first beer festival in June, an Octoberfest and beer and food matching events.

To celebrate their first birthday, White Brick Brewing has brewed a limited release celebration beer and is available to the public from 1st December. There will be celebrations on Saturday 1st, with the birthday beer at special prices. There will also be some other festivities, and food options.

The year ahead is looking very exciting with more beers available in cans in more venues and bottle shops.

“We are looking forward to making it easier for people who can’t get to the brewery to access our beers and to extend the range. Back at the brewery, we will also be catering for non-beer drinkers with high quality Queensland wine”, said Adam Gibb.

To help celebrate White Brick Brewing’s first birthday, visit the brewery at 1/9 Flinders Parade, North Lakes.
