Armed Robbery Charges Laid

Police have charged a man after he allegedly threatened staff with a gun at a North Lakes convenience store on April 20.

It will be alleged at 9.40pm a man entered the College Street store and threatened staff with a rifle, demanding money.

The staff compiled, and police will further allege the man left the store with a sum of cash and cigarettes.

At 4.45pm yesterday, police attended a Marsden Road address at Kallangur and arrested a man.

A 33-year-old Kallangur man has been charged with one count each of armed robbery, enter premises with intent to commit an indictable offence, possession of dangerous drugs as well as three counts of unlawful possession of weapons.

He will appear in the Pine Rivers Magistrates Court on April 23.
